How to split a PDF
- Choose a PDF.
- Type the pages you want, like 1-3, 5, 8-10, or use Quick pick.
- Press Extract pages, then Download PDF.
Tips
- To remove a page, extract everything else. For example, to drop page 4 of ten, type 1-3, 5-10.
- Pages come out in the order you type them, so you can also use this to reorder a few pages.
- Check the new file before you send it, especially if you took pages out to hide something private.
- A long PDF can be split into parts first, then compressed part by part with Compress PDF.

Good to know
Extracting pages builds a new PDF that contains only the pages you list. Your original file is never changed, so you can run it again with a different selection.
- Write ranges with a dash and separate them with commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. A page number larger than the document is reported instead of being ignored.
- The limit is 100 MB per file.
- Because pages are copied rather than redrawn, text stays selectable and quality does not drop.
Common questions
Can I change the page order?
Yes. Pages are taken in the order you type them, so 5, 1 starts with page 5.
Does the original change?
No. You get a new PDF and the original file stays as it is.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is processed in your browser on your device and is not sent to a server.
How do I take out just one page?
Type that page number, such as 3, in Pages to extract, then press Extract pages.
Can I extract pages from different parts of the file?
Yes. Separate the parts with commas, like 1-3, 5, 8-10.
