or pick one from your device
Choose photoHow to add a watermark
- Choose a photo or drop it on the box.
- Type your text, or switch to Logo and choose an image. Pick a style, then move Size, Strength and Angle until it looks right.
- Check the preview, then press Download.
Tips
- Repeat covers the whole photo, so it is the hardest to crop out. Corner is the least distracting.
- Keep Strength around 30 to 50 percent. The mark stays visible and the photo stays easy to look at.
- White works on dark photos and black on light ones. A thin outline keeps the text readable on mixed backgrounds.
- For a logo, use a PNG with a see-through background, so no white box appears around it.
- Keep an original copy without the watermark. The mark becomes part of the picture once you download it.

Good to know
The watermark is drawn onto the picture and saved as a new file. Your original is not changed. The result has the same size as your photo, up to 6000 pixels on the longest side. Larger photos are scaled down to that size.
- The limit is 50 MB per photo, and one photo at a time.
- A watermark discourages casual copying, but it is not tamper-proof. Someone with a photo editor may be able to remove it, especially a small one in a corner.
- The new file does not carry the camera details of the original, such as the location. Use Remove Metadata if you only want to clear those.
Common questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is processed in your browser on your device and is not sent to a server.
Can I use my own logo?
Yes. Switch to Logo and choose a JPG, PNG or WEBP image. A PNG with a see-through background looks best.
Which style should I choose?
Repeat is best for photos you want to protect, Centre for a clear stamp such as SAMPLE, and Corner for a small signature.
Will the quality drop?
The picture keeps its size. For JPG and WebP the file is saved again at high quality, so tiny differences are possible. Choose PNG if you want no loss.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Not yet. Each photo is done on its own, and your last settings are kept while you choose the next one.
