Choose PDFPDF files only. Up to 100 MB.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF or drop it on the box.
- Pick where the number goes, the style, and the first number. Leave Pages empty to number every page, or type a range like 2-10.
- Press Add page numbers, then Download PDF.
Tips
- Skip a cover page by typing a range that starts at page 2, such as 2-20. The first page in your range gets the first number.
- To make page 2 show as 1, type 2-20 in Pages and leave First number at 1.
- Bottom center is the usual place for reports and school papers. Bottom right is common for books.
- Choose "Page 1 of 10" when readers need to know the total length.
- Numbers are added in a new file. Your original PDF is not changed.

Common questions
Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes. Change First number. For example, type 5 and the first numbered page shows 5.
Can I number only some pages?
Yes. Type the pages in the Pages box, such as 3-12 or 2, 4, 6. Leave it empty to number every page.
Does it work on pages that are turned sideways?
Yes. The number is placed to match the way the page is shown, so it stays upright.
Why can I not choose the font?
To keep the tool simple, the number is written in a plain, clear font that works on every device.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is processed in your browser on your device and is not sent to a server.
